Misunderstanding Turned Future

A few years ago a guy we know played some pretty bad mind games. For over a year myself and this really interesting woman, that I'd only met a handful of times were separated. One faithful day I happened to be walking through her workplace looking for another friend of ours when we crossed paths. I was happy to see her, however the feeling was not mutual. I gradually got Leslie to open up a little and explain her angry toward me. Later before I left I asked for her number, which she reluctantly gave me simply thinking that I was playing mind games with her. I asked if she would like to go to have coffee some time and her responce was "I am not paying a babysitter so that I can go out to coffee with YOU". To which I responded "Thats's why they invented these crazy things called to-go cups". Leslie laughed at this and later that week I showed up on her door step why two to-go cups. We gradually worked past the insinuations and lies that this other person had spread and we were married Sept. 20, 2008. It may seem like such a trivial thing but that cup of coffee changed my life, and I am so thankful for that. Every morning we go to Tim's before work, kind of a ritual and constant reminder of what we almost lost. Thanks Tim's. Shawn & Leslie Nixon, Pembroke Ont.
