For me, its a large tea, 2 milk, 2 sugar, bag in. For my husband, its a large double double. For my mother-in-law, its a medium hot chocolate. Our Tim Hortons beverages have taken us through many dark days. Theyve perked us up after sleepless nights, kept us going for long nights of waiting. My daughter was diagnosed at 2 months of age with a fatal heart defect. At 7 months old she was listed for a heart transplant. Each day while we were waiting for her to receive her gift of life, we took comfort in the warmth of our Tims. We would trek down to the opposite end of the hospital each morning, bypassing the other coffee establishments, to get our favourite cup. Apparently seeing our Tims cups each day, made a big impression on our daughter. Only days after receiving her gift of life, she was sitting up and her favourite toymoms extra cup from the double cupped tea. Not longer after that, she discovered her sippy cup fit perfectly inside the Tims cup and she could have her Tim Hortons too. Now, we never pass a Tims store without her pointing it out. And every time we need to go to the hospital for bloodwork, tests or checkups, her favourite part of the day is getting her 2 timbits, one chocolate, one white. Often on Saturday morning she will go with Grandma to Tims for a bagel and chocolate milk. Tim Hortons has gotten us through some very difficult times and it continues to be a part of our family through the good times. Thanks for becoming part of our family tradition! The picture shows my daughter 7 days after her heart transplant with her grandma...and her Tim's!
