On June 13th, four students from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, started out on the road trip of a lifetime. On this day, Dan Kay, Becky Carpenter, Dave Clinning and Kate Rood arrived in Vancouver exhausted from their travels, anticipation, and three hours of jetlag. Thankfully while waiting for their luggage there was a Tim Hortons nearby to give them the boost of energy that they needed to get their trip underway. The roadtrip is one that lasts over 2 months as the group, known as Unleash Your Potential, cycles across the county. As they cross the country, the team stops at Boys and Girls Clubs to give interactive presentations to youth on nutrition, physical activity, and maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle. In addition, the team hopes to inspire fellow Canadians to adopt a healthy lifestyle by demonstrating that four average individuals, with no biking experience, can achieve a goal of this magnitude. As of July 13th the team has travelled from Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver to Thunder Bay, Ontario and they are geographically half way done their journey, they are on pace to finish in Halifax on August 13th. Tim Hortons is an integral part of their adventure and they have relied on it for many pit stops along their way, as it gives them that home away from home feeling, along with a time to unwind and spend a few minutes bonding. The team always looks forward to making it to the next Tim Hortons along their way across Canada to recharge with a Green tea or Yogurt and berries. Whether conquering mountains or pushing on through Prairie winds, it has always helped the team to know in the back of their minds that there is a Tim Hortons at the end of the road. Every time that there is a Tim Hortons nearby, the cyclists begin each morning with a round of fresh Tim Hortons coffee to help themselves wake up and prepare for the full day of cycling.

Well done ladies and gents!!! Glad you are reaching a Timmies quite frequently. Not sure how Dave would be if he didn't get his Timmies tea fix every so often! Good luck with the rest of your journey you guys!!
Wow, I can only imagine how many Tim Hortons pit stops they have made on a journey across Canada and how satisfying each one was. Give them the grand prize...

Biking to work isn't easy. Biking across Canada... I can only imagine. What an inspiring team.
I wholeheartedly agree with the commercial idea! What a wonderful mission they're on - with Timmie's supporting them along the way!
