Today was a terrific day! The sun shone brightly with no wind or rain during my 700 mile trip from within Saskatchewan to Central Alberta. Common opinion has it that 700 miles on this stretch of highway is as boring as watching paint dry. Not for me. I crank the volume on some great tunes, sit back and enjoy the big sky, horses, and cows, several colours of green in the trees and blankets of brilliant gold and blue fields. Occasionally I lamented over seeing a dead porcupine or rabbit in the middle of the road. The only thing missing during my solitary and enjoyable trip was a Tim Hortons fresh cup of coffee. Finally, at last...there it was, the familiar red and brown building that I could count on to provide the brew of all brews. Only minutes later I was back on the road listening, sipping, watching and singing along with my favourite tunes. Living in the moment and enjoying life, it helps to have a cup of Timmys to enjoy it to the fullest.
