Travelling with Tim's

A few years go I worked in Wiarton and while on my lunch hour one day I was out for a walk. A truck stopped with two people in it and asked me to look at their map and tell them if the directions they had would take them to Stratford. They had come across on the boat from Manitoulin Island to Tobermory and were heading south towards Owen Sound. The map and directions had been given to them by a person on the Island and it had them taking Highway # 6 to Owen Sound then south to Guelph and then west to Kitchener and then to Stratford. I told them that their directions were way out of the way and going straight south would save them an hour in a two and a half hour drive going my way. I told them to go straight south of Wiarton on Hwy # 6 to Hepworth where on the corner was a Tim Horton's, do not turn there as their directions said, but go straight through the intersection. I also told them that it was a good spot to stop for a coffee or washroom break. It was also a good directional beacon. I told them to continue going south and I pointed this out to them on their map. The next major town would be Hanover and to continue going south, but if they needed lunch or washroom break to turn east at the first stop light and a Tim Horton's would be not too far down on the south side of the road. The next major intersection would be Hwy # 9 at Clifford and turn east. I then mentioned that not too far down the road they would have to turn south in Harriston towards Listowel. There is also a Tim's in Harriston just before the turn if you had not stopped yet or needed to. I then said that once in Listowel there is also a Tim's before you turn east onto Hwy # 86. I mentioned the Tim's in each case as they were strategic to where they had to turn, a real beacon on a map. I told them to then follow the signs to Stratford where on the way in is another Tim's. I wished them good luck in their travels, but prior to leaving the gentlemen in the truck reached over toward his centre console and put on a hat which had the Tim Horton's logo on it and thanked me for the advertising for Tim Horton's and said he was the owner of a Tim Horton's in Espanola. What are the chances?
I could hardly wait to get back to the office and tell the girls in my Finance Department what just happeded as it is seemed to be almost untrue. This story has bode me well over the years when a group starts talking about Tim Horton's, almost an unbelievable coincidence.
