Border Crossing

The majority of my family lives in Canada, so at least three times a year, I would fly from DC to Toronto for my visits. And of course , living in Northern Virginia - we had no Timmies so I always had to "stock up" when I was coming back to the states. On every occasion as I was going through the customs they would ask if I had anything to declare and I would also mention my tins of Timmies. Two trips in a row I was pulled aside for my suitcase to be opened and searched and both times I would say - it's just 4 cans of Timmies and it still amuses me because the custom agents would look at the x-ray and then at me and then as they opened the suitcase start laughing as the 4 tins of Tim Hortons Fine Grind was setting off security alarms, This last Christmas - as soon as the agent opened it - he reached over and picked up his cup of Timmies and just laughed as he closed my suitcase back up. The things you have to go through for a darn good cup of coffee!!
