Green Chicken Holds Court

Every day that has a cup of Timmy’s just seems to make my day better, as well as every journey needs a destination.
Most every day, on my way to work, I stop at one of many Tim Hortons that I pass, for my favorite morning bevy, a double/double refill.
The weekends are usually full of errands and exercise that usually include my dog, Kinzie. I ride my bike on Okotoks’ beautiful bike paths, to the far side of town (about 5 kms), with the half way mark of our round trip, being Tim Hortons. Our break includes a double/double and a breakfast bun that I share with Kinzie and take a small piece home for my parrot Mario aka “The Green Chicken.”
One day a friend came to bike with her dog and I met her at the front of my house with the parrot cage strapped to my bike. “Really!!!” “Why not!!” so off we went, with the parrot chattering the whole way. When we arrived at Tim Hortons what a gathering to see “The Green Chicken” enjoying her bit of sausage, egg and cheese on a biscuit. The “Chicken” now comes every time the weather is warm and dry enough to hold court and enjoy her breakfast with her Mom and sister the dog.
It’s not because I am the crazy bird lady, I just love my Tim’s coffee. Really!!
