Gotta have my Tim's

In every family, there is the one person who adores their coffee, the one person you should stay away from until they get it. In my family, that person is me. However, it’s not just any coffee that I need; it is specifically Tim Hortons coffee. I have tried unsuccessfully to make my own coffee, but I can never get it to taste as enjoyable as Tim Hortons can. So instead, I am the person that always has a charged Tims card for my two-times-a-day coffee trips. Who needs spare change when you have a card?

You can imagine my problem when my husband and I decided to go on a cruise to Alaska, which should be called, the place with no Tim Hortons. Now, on a cruise ship during the summer months, most people would be soaking up the sun with a beverage out on deck. I, on the other hand, was out in the cold rain touring around the state wishing for nothing other than a hot cup of Tims coffee.

To sum it all up, it was a long and cold week. When the cruise finally ended in Vancouver and our shuttle arrived at the airport, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some Tims. As we rounded the corner, there, posted on the wall, was an advertisement for Tim Hortons with its signature cup and a quote. “We missed you too.” I couldn’t help but to think, they couldn’t have missed me as much as I missed them.
