Waiting for school to get out

My Tim Horton’s story goes back to the year that I was pregnant with my son over 6 years ago. I would get a ride home from work from time to time with one of my best friends/co-worker.

We would always stop to pick up her son from school before dropping me off at home; on the days that we were early we would always stop at Tim Horton’s. She would get large Triple/Triple and I would get a Chocolate dip donut.

One day while we were sitting in her minivan waiting for school to get out, we were talking and finishing off our treats from Tim’s. I was down to my last bite of the donut and I dropped it on the minivan floor. I thought that I was going to cry and my best friend looks at me and says “5 second rules it’s still good, you can’t deprive the baby of the last bite.” I laughed and said “No, I’m good.” But inside I really wanted to pick up that last bite of donut. She said are you sure...... and I said No I really didn’t need it. So she dropped me off at home. All that night, all I could think of was that last bite of donut.

The next morning when I got into work, guess what was waiting for me on my desk........
That’s right a Chocolate Dip Donut. All I could do was laugh. I went over and gave her a hug and thanked her for the donut.

Every time I eat or see a Chocolate Dip Donut now, I think of her and what happen all those years ago. It always brings a smile to my face.

She is always going out of her way for everyone and doesn’t look or want anything in return. Now it’s her turn to have something waiting for her on her desk..... This story is for her, the BEST FRIEND that anyone could have.
