My husband's undying love... for Tim Hortons!

I am writing my Tim Horton’s story about my husband’s undying love… for Timmy’s! I have never met someone so in love with Tim Horton’s. From when we first started dating, he has warned me about his love for Timmy’s coffee. No matter what, he needed to get up in the morning and get his double milk. He is an elementary school teacher, so he sometimes buys two coffees on his way to school so he doesn’t have to make a double run to Timmy’s. His kids must notice the enormous amount of Timmy’s that Ryan consumes, because every Christmas, it never fails, Ryan comes home with a stack of Tim Horton’s gift cards! His students know his love for Timmy’s trumps every other gift!

We have travelled throughout many parts of the world… and all I hear is how upset Ryan is that he isn’t able to grab a Timmy’s on every corner. It got so bad, that while we were living in New Zealand, my parents actually sent us a care package from Canada with giant tins of Tim Horton’s coffee and a coffee machine! Of course, it came with Tim Horton coffee mugs too! We all knew how much Ryan missed Timmy’s so my parents tried to send him the experience in New Zealand. (We were there for 8 months and the tins sufficed for about half that time!)

We were recently in New York City and Ryan hadn’t had a Timmy’s in well over a week, so he was getting a little antsy. We were walking through a store when all of a sudden I saw Ryan stop a stranger and raise his voice with excitement. Like a child, Ryan came running up to me, barely able to contain himself enough to tell me that he had just seen a man with a Tim Horton’s coffee!! He had gotten directions to the supposed Timmy’s… and low and behold, after literally running in the direction the man had given Ryan… there was a Tim Horton’s Café and Bake Shop! Ryan couldn’t believe it and had to actually touch the front window to believe that it was actually real!

Throughout all of his travels and experiences with Tim Horton’s, I still think the true testament to his love for Timmy’s was on our wedding day. While we were getting pictures taken, he made our driver pull over to get a picture with the love of his life… Tim Horton’s!!! I honestly think it was one of his biggest highlights of the day when he got to walk into the Tim Horton’s in his tux and myself in my wedding dress… and order his extra large coffee, double milk!
