After a long term relationship ended, I never thought I would find true love again. So with hopeful anticipation I went on my first coffee date.
We arranged for a 15 minute rendez-vous at Tim Hortons in Coldbrook Nova Scotia.
I got there early - she got there late. Fashionably late, of course. I still remember watching her drive in the parking lot and thinking "I'll never get by the 15 minutes"
I remember her hair, her eyes, and the nervous grin on her face as she looked my way. We exchanged pleasantries, and then went inside to make our order.
A medium French Vanilla cappuccino and I had a large Early Grey tea. We went to sit down. We were both nervous. I was quiet, and she was talkative... for 6 hours.
With every cup, we talked about our pasts, our hopes and our dreams for the future. I kept checking my watch, realizing over and over again that I did in fact make it past those crucial 15 minutes.
I was captivated by her smile, her sense of fashion, and her newfie accent (many times I had to ask her to repeat herself).
But, even after those 6 hours, the date had to end - as all good things must do. However, this was just the beginning. 10 weeks later, I asked this woman of my dreams to spend the rest of her life with me. And as of July 3rd, she became my fiancee.
What started out to be a simple coffee date at Tim Hortons, changed the destiny of two strangers - as we both got a second chance at love.
Winning this contest would fulfill my dream to give her a romantic honeymoon in Paris.

That is so beautiful. I'm still screeching me eyes out. Congratulations.
And every Sunday, on our anniversary, we return to Coldbrook Tim Hortons for a French Vanilla cap. and a Earl Grey.
