Oct 1 2005. A new home! The real bonus - Tim Horton's just a block few blocks away !! '' Look Goregette Timmy's !'' My German Shepherd perked up, pawed me, peered out the van window at her favorite place. So it began a six year daily routine for yet another Tim Hortons. Day after day, year after year, I crawled out of bed in the wee hours of the morning, my pup at my side. As I dressed I was rushed to hurry up as she leaped at the door. Her timbit was waiting!! ''Hang on girl'' I always said, ''I need shoes''. Some days it was bitter cold here in Calgary but we didn't mind, I knew my half coffee half english toffee was waiting with a smile from the usual staff. Goregette aquired quite a few names over the years, Little Girl, Baby Girl, Diva Dog, Pup, Goo Goo. She always sat regal with her timbit bag at her side, never opening it in the van, just waiting to carry it into the house to enjoy as I sipped my morning coffee. Something the staff always marveled at. The wonderful ladies at Tim Hortons became fond of her as much as I have become fond of them. For several years now I need only to drive up and say ''Hey, it's me''. It all changed recently which inspired me to write. Our beloved pup was injured a year ago on a cold winter morning and as time went on her trips to Timmy's became more and more a trial. But she still struggled to the van for her daily trips. She could no longer leap and run but she would walk with dignity every morning. Nothing could stop her daily visits to see tthe ladies and carry her timbit inside. Her last visit was a tearful one, not only for myself but for the incredible staff at Tim Hortons as well. Like any responsible pet owner there comes a time when decisions must be made. Tim Hortons sold alot of peanut butter cookies, timbits and a few apple fritters July 21, 2011 as friends and family came to say good bye. Friday July 22, 2011, with her timbit at her side our pup passed away. I wanted to sent a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Tim Hortons for years of service. For treating us like family. For still saying ''...better today...we miss her too...'' every morning. For sharing our life and creating awesome memories !!! THANKS YOU TIM HORTONS

Beautiful story Gorgette. This really hit home with me, our Yellow Lab is 11 this year and she has her own ritual with Tim's that we cherish. I hope that it is getting easier for you and your family....and the Tim's staff. Amazing how 1 dog can bring so many people together eh! Cheers!
A++ Storey keep on writing!
