I was a working at the Bluenose II restoration site in Lunenburg NS. I don't know if everyone knows the story of the original Bluenose (which sunk in 1946) but it is the icon which graces our dime today. It brought a lot of pride and triumph throughout a time when happiness was most needed (Between WWI and WWII). In the spirit of restoring the 49 year old Bluenose II a man from Quebec, clearly blessed to be a part of this cultural build, ordered Tim Horton's coffee and donuts every Thursday for the men preforming this large job of rebuilding the most memorial wooden schooner in Canadian history which made the men doing it very happy, also because they work all year round, so it gets pretty cold in the middle of winter. And I know every Thursday the 10 o-clock break, the car would be rolling in and the boxes filled with coffee and donuts would indicate a time to reflect, bond or just enjoy two great Canadian icons!
