A new country, and my first Tim Hortons.

So my story begins in late 2010, Droitwich Spa, England.
I have enjoyed travelling, and although i was only 15, i had still travelled to a fair few places. I really wanted to go to Canada, and was looking trying to convince the parents to take a family holiday there. I new my step-dad had family over there, so i asked my mum and him "We should take a trip over to Canada to see your family!" .

After a few weeks and much thinking, my parents finally announced that we were that we were going! I couldn't believe it, we were going to Canada!!!

So the following february, we were off. We had our winter gear ready, hats, thermals, gloves, and were looking forward to seeing getting to the the freezing country over the pond. We arrived after a 7 hour flight landing in Toronto, and met our family. It was great to see them, and hear their brilliant accents. We drove to our hotel, and on the way, we saw many signs for a place we had never heard of before, Tim Hortons. We debated about stopping off at one, to see what it was. But we decided against it as we were a bit unsure.

We got to our hotel, and spent our first night sleep in Canada. The following morning, we met up with our family, and spent the day exploring the town, and experiencing the freezing cold weather. Just before heading home, our cousin suggested stopping off at Tim Hortons. We agreed, but our family were shocked that we didn't even know what the place was.

When we arrived, the smell of fresh coffee and donuts filled the air. Everything felt right. I (not being a huge coffee lover), ordered hot chocolate, and a chocolate dip donut. The parents got their first coffees and my little sister had a vanilla dip donut. We were hooked. We absolutely loved the place. So for the remaining 2 weeks, we visited Tim Hortons at least once a day. We tried everything, from double doubles, Boston creams and caramel crunches.

When the 2 weeks were up, we were sat drinking our last Tim Hortons in Toronto airport, feeling very sad about having to leave. We were going to miss this brilliant country, everything was amazing there. Especially the Tim Hortons. :D
