After being widowed suddenly at 20 years old in 2006, I moved to a new city to start over. A young mom, pregnant with number 2, and I didn't know anyone in the area. I joined a dating website to meet some new people, and came across a profile picture with the ugliest dog I'd ever seen. I messaged the guy, to tease him about his ugly dog and turned out we had so much in common. Especially our love of Tims! We bonded over talk of food (and coffee!) and I decided against my better judgement to meet this internet stranger for a coffee at *gasp* my place (do NOT try this at home kids!). So my mystery man called me from the road after picking up the coffee to get my address. "123 westwood drive", and that's when he lost it! "A 20 year old pregnant widow was hard to believe, but the fake address was just too much" he said. "If you didn't want to meet me all you had to do was say so" he added. It wasn't until I texted him a picture of my apartment complex that he realized it was real. We had a great laugh about it when he came with coffee and since that first coffee shared in my livingroom we've been unseparable. We've been married for 3 years now, and have 3 gorgeous children. We still get Tim's every time we go anywhere together, and we show our love by "grabbing coffee" on the way home to surprise each other (although I drink green tea now, Tim's tea is the best!). Our relationship was founded with a Tim's coffee, and survives on one today in good times and in bad times. After being a teen mom and losing my spouse so young I thought my life would never go back together. If it wasn't for "timmies" it may not have. Tims saw me through hanging out in front of the store in my teen years, to finally finding myself as a mom and an adult, kept me awake while I put myself through highschool and college, and best of all brought my children and I together with the best husband and father any of us could ask for. Thanks Tims!
