I am a carpenter by profession and a father by choice. I work for a large corporation and they keep me pretty much on the road all the time. I am also a recovering addict who has been clean for the last six years. Thats where Tim Hortons comes into the story. I was in Windsor, Ontario and had just had my last run with some very bad chemicals. i was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I had $2 left to my name and there, on the corner, was a Timmies. I bought a medium black and, with the change, called the NA hotline. The fellow that answered came to the Timmies that I was at and we sat and talked for almost 4 hours and 6 cups of good Canadian joe. When I went into treatment one of the nurses that worked there would bring in Tim Hortons home brew packets for us guys. We never went without. And today I keep the tradition up. Every time I can afford it I will either bring Timmies to the meetings that I attend or I'll buy after the meeting is done at the local Timmies. Tim Hortons helped to save my life and give me back what I thought was gone forever.......my pride, dignity, self respect and most important of all MY FAMILY. Thanks Tim!
