Every night without fail, my husband, son and myself go out and stop at our nearby Tim Horton's Drive through. We order our large double - double and a medium hot chocolate for our son, or a bottle of green ice tea. Then go out for a drive to our nearby park.
There we sit and talk about what happened in the day with one another, and have our family discussions. I know this may sound boring, but that is how we spend our family time together, and relax.
We live a a gorgeous city with the river nearby, and this is the park we go to, it an island connected to our city, with a drive around. There we sit sipping our coffee/hot chocolate or green ice tea. Watch the ships go by (frieghters, tugs, sail boats, lakers, cruise linters and even once in a while, may see a the Canadian coast guard ships, and even our Canadian Navy Ships)
There are all sorts of birds, from Seagulls, Ducks, Loons, to small birds, such as Robin's, cardinals, blue jays, wood peckers, and other small wildlife like chipmunks and squirrels around us.
It's a great way to relax, and take in the site and we never get board of doing this, as we do it every night after we finish supper. Go out for a drive, stop at Tim Hortons, and then go to our favourite park, down by the river. Park, sip our beverages from Tim Hortons, talk together enjoying one another's company. Watching the scenery and wildlife around.
