Dear Tim Hortons,
I know that this may be a very broad suggestion, but I came across a TV commercial idea that would hopefully encompass (what I believe to be) everything that Tim Hortons stands for:
Being Canadian
A place we call ‘home’
A good, cozy coffee experience
The idea of the commercial is this:
What:
A customer goes into a Tim’s location and gets coffee/coffee product
The customer has a good customer experience at the counter
The Tim Hortons employee asks if the customer wants the coffee to ‘stay in’ or to ‘take away’
The Customer says he/she would like it to take-away because he/she is on their way home
Customer receives the coffee and takes it to the sitting area *at Tim Hortons*, where there is a Canada flag chair (the red & white chairs that one can fold and carry; the ones commonly seen on Canada day or at BBQ’s (also shown in the profile pic)), leans back and relaxes while having his/her coffee
This commercial is supposed to illustrate essentially that Home = Tim Hortons
When:
This TV Commercial could be best received around truly Canadian times of year such as i) Canada Day ii) Olympics iii) Calgary stampede
It can also be flexible if for example, it were to be shown around the holidays or Christmas.
Why:
Tim Hortons does a great job of playing commercials that truly encompass ‘comfort’ and ‘Canada’
I believe that this idea would successfully convey everything that Tim’s represents and resonate with the Tim’s consumer (I’ve done my own personal sample survey and the results were positive :) )
I love Tim Hortons and the personal experiences and laughter I’ve had while there or with a Tim’s coffee product in hand.
Cheers,
Milly Roy
