My very good friend, who lives in southwest Ontario, is going through chemotherapy. Her son, from Winnipeg, was talking on the phone to her one day and she was explaining to him how unwell she felt. He said that he wished there was some way he could help her, but living so far away, there was nothing he could do. My friend told him he should just go and get her a Timmie's and deliver it to her. (your coffee makes her feel so much better for a couple of hours) They both laughed and that was the end of that. Around 10 minutes after their conversation, her doorbell rang. There was a cab in the driveway and the driver was at the door with a Tim Horton's coffee. When my friend asked "who did this come from?", he shrugged his shoulders and answered "it's from Manitoba". What a great little gesture from a son to his mother.
