Major League curling in Thunder Bay is the most competitive, intense curling of all the leagues. It prepares all us to go on to competition on all levels.
During one particular game, we curling on the sheet next to Krista McCarville, Thunder Bay elite team. It was the 1-2 matchup of the season. The gallery was full of fans standing and sitting, trying to get a look at exciting game next to us. Separating the two sheets was a row of little rocks for kids curling. As I was walking down the sheet, I was talking and looking at my team mate when I tripped on the side board, hopped into the air over the row of little rocks and ended up on my back in the middle of the big game. They said "it was like brake dancing" because as quickly as I went down, I was up. Red faced, I hopped over back to my sheet so quickly, that most players didn't realize what happened, except the gallery did...yikes
When I came off the ice, there was my good friend Joe with a cup of Joe (Tims) to get me past my embarrasing moment. Thanks to all....
