men in kilts

My husband is not a curler, but that doesn't stop him from "playing" the game. During winter carnival, my husband and his buddies entered the curling event. Not one of them had a clue what to do, but they entered anyway. They practised, and decided that unless they wanted to break their necks, they better find a way to "curl". They came up with a few unique ideas, one of which was to wear army boots. They thought it was less daunting than shoes. They also decided that sliding from the hack was too risky, and that a belly approach was good. The day of the event came, and the four lads entered the rink. They were attired in long johns, kilts, sweaters and army boots, along with airforce caps perched on their heads. They warmed up their way, and the game was on. Their opponents never stood a chance. They were so dumbfounded that the lads got the rocks down the sheet and in the rings that they couldn't curl right; mainly because they were dying with laughter. i was watching with my Tims coffee, and laughed so hard I cried. I even choked a few times. Most everyone in the rink cheered them on, and we all drank many cups of Tims...it was the only thing that was right with that day. The lads didn't win, but they definately won the hearts of everyone there, and I was proud to be their supporter. Of course, being bribbed with Tim's coffee helped. I'd do just about anything for my coffee, and watching them curl, cheering them on, and proudly saying " that's my team" went above and beyond. But, I had all the Tims I wanted. Could you ask for more?
