New Years Eve Lake Curling

This past New Years Eve, a few friends thought it would be fun to welcome in the New Year by Curling on a frozen lake in Muskoka! Great idea...right! Well it took my friend and myself most of the day to clear the snow and make a rink. We chopped a hole in the ice and after many buckets of water and lots of pebbling, we had one nice sheet to play on. That night after a wonderful New Years Eve dinner, six of us got dressed and headed down to the ice for a little game of curling. I'm not sure if you remember, but it was sooo cold that night, -20, that we almost froze in no time! We scurried back inside to warm up with a hot cup of Tims coffee. It was a nice way to welcome in the New Year which we will all remember for many years to come. I wish we could share more pictures with you all!
