Oh Me Nerves!

In grade 9 i decided to join my highschool curling team. At first I had only joined because i thought it would be easy and i would be able to attend the athletic banquet at my school, but then when i made the team i found it challenging but fun. I found lots of encouragement in my friends i made on the team and my family. My mom would always come to the game, and since the ice was so cold after the game she would always have a large hot chocolate waiting for me, so that i could warm up my hands, and a box of timbits for me and the team to eat, because we loved munching on food after the game. That year was also the year that i got my nickname 'Oh Me Nerves' i got it because one day at practice, the rink we were at had this rock that said 'Oh Me Nerves' on it. and i used it everytime we went there it was like my special rock. In grade 10 i tried out for the team again and made it, this year we made it to the ROPSSA finals my friend sam's dad was a huge supporter of ours every game he came to he would be drinking a tim hortons coffee, and we would win. When we made it to the finals my mom decided to buy some coffee for our coach, well she must have cursed us by doing it because we love and ended up getting silver. But it didn't stop my team from cheering their hearts out, we ran off the ice accepted our medals and just cheered like we had one the gold. My mom gave the whole team hot chocolate it was so amazing, it was one of the best days ever. This year i'm trying out for the team again, the coach says i'll probably make it if i scream my lungs out on the ice and if i bring them all a Extra large double-double to the tryouts :)
