February 2004, the Campbell River FireFighters curling team was playing in the BC Provincial Firefighters Curling Championships. They had come come many times in the past and were thristy for the victory. This year it was in Salmon Arm, BC. Between the hotel and the curling rink was a conveniently placed Tim Hortons. Before every game the team stopped at Timmy's and got a shot of the wonderful brew and fired themselves up for the competiton. It worked! They won the provincials and went on to represent BC at the Canadian Firefighters Curling Championships in Quebec. The strategy worked so well that they have continued the tradition and have since won 2 more BC titles. This year the Championships are in Campbell River and they are counting on Timmy's brew to keep working their magic. The next goal is the Canadians in Regina in 2010. Bring it on!
