Our son is away at university and during Thanksgiving we traveled from Calgary to Kingston to visit him. While there, we all wanted to see where he had been curling the past few years. En route to the rink, we counted six Tim Hortons and promptly stopped at one for our regular coffees with doughnuts to go.
The students, with their vampire-like study hours, have very late curling draws and are bussed from campus to the rink in the dark.
Heading west of Kingston, we managed to finally locate the rink and our son remarked how he had never seen it in the daylight.
Being able to see Kingston and the curling rink gave us all a strong sense of connection. No matter where you are in Canada, there will always be curling and always, Tim Hortons!
