Shelly & I prided ourselves in being good curling coaches. Three early mornings a week we would pick up our curling juniors girls & head to the curling rink for our practice session. On our way there we always go through the Tim Hortons drive thru for coffees & hot chocolates for the kids. When we would get to the rink, our faithful ice maker, Carl, usually had our target practice pillons out & ready to set-up. However, one particular day (a very stormy winter day), Carl wasn't available & we did not have the key to get our pillons out of the storage room. We were very disappointed, until one of the girls pointed to our almost empty Tim Horton coffee cups & suggested that we use them as targets - so we did! It was a great practice session, when one of the rocks lightly touched a Tim's cup we would all call out that it was a "Timmy"!! We still call a perfectly thrown rock a Timmy!
